Poker Experiment Milestone

Maybe you remember my Poker Experiment and wondered why there has been no Progress logged... well, I didnt have much time for it, since I signed in on Full Tilt Poker shortly after, and had to clear my 600$-Bonus there... So I only played pstars in sporadical short sessions.

But now I did it: BR is $101.33, achieved mostly with 2$ and 5$ Head-Ups.
FPPs are at 193, they were at 134 before.

For every $1 paid in tournament fees a player will earn 5 FPP credits

Snapshot of running Servers

We are currently changing our server setup in the office.

We used to have five Servers running in the same CC, but we rented 2 new Servers and now want a total of three - the best of the five old ones and the two new ones.

The first new Server is already set up, we just installed the application there, migrated the Data and the DNS. No Problem here.

But now we have to mix the dozen applications running on the five old servers to two, one of them running an application which I want to transfer.

No way we can do that via hot migration.

Virtual Meeting

Problem: A complex matter needs to be discussed between the CEO and the CTO (aka me).

Solution: Block a room for a Meeting.

Problem: I am >300 km away from the office.

Solution: a Telephone Conference.

Problem: Where the fuck is my Whiteboard? How can you survive a Meeting without drawing meaningless cryptic shit on a Whiteboard to confuse the CEO enough that he believes me? visualize the models?

IM Setup enhanced / OTR

I finally managed to give every Computer a Machine Resource for my Jabber account.

Some of them are OTR-Capable (the untrusted Windows-Playstation of course not, for example).

I just made new OTR Keypairs and synced them on all trusted machines. You can verify your OTR-Connection using this Fingerprint:

Also ich wusste ja, dass fast alle Ärzte gegen die elektronische Gesundheitskarte sind, aber diese Aussage aus dem Mund meines Internisten hat mich doch erstmal geschockt.

I had to reinstall the Server shortly after my last post.

As the whole Webserver Setup changed, I needed to adjust some configs and stuff, and I wasnt that motivated at all.

But now I catched a free Sunday and hey - I am back On Line again :D

Poker experiment

I cashed out yesterday - everything except 5$ and some cents.

Why? For setting up a little experiment. (well, and to pay some bills)

This Month, i want to simulate a beginner situation.
On most sites, you will receive a small real money bonus at signup, from like 5 to 50 USD.

I want to find out how long it will take me to build up a 100-USD-Bankroll and how often I'll get broke on my way there. If the Experiment goes right, maybe I'll extend to 200 or even 1000 USD goal, but first checkpoint is 100$.
